After you’ve mailed your letter, don’t fail to get every issue of 16 Magazine and watch the Dreamsville answers page—because that’s where you’ll see the glorious news that everything you wished for, dreamed of, longed for has come true!
ABRACADABRA!! It takes a magical education and lots of reference books to make sure that some of the things you 16-ers wish for come true!! Here is my very favorite section of Dreamsville—which I lovingly call Super-Dream. Super-Dream is reserved for 16 readers with extra-special wishes—wishes you’d think would be too tough for even Dreamsville to fulfill! Fear not—faithful fantasy fans—Dreamsville’s Super-Dream can do anything! Just look at what this month’s winner won!
LORRAINE MOORE of Decatur, Ga., can thank her good friend Denise McElroy and 16’s swingin’ Editor-in-Chief Gloria Stavers for her Super-Dream prizes!! Denise wrote us that LORRAINE had some tough luck recently when her record player overheated, caught fire and almost burned her room to ashes! Denise asked Dreamsville to replace LORRAINE’s ruined record player—so groovy Gloria arranged for a combination record player–radio and 10 swingin’ LP records to wing their merry way to LORRAINE. (Just cos Denise was such a “good Samaritan,” Gloria sent her a record player–radio and 10 LPs too!!) As an extra bonus, both girls received a full-year’s free subscription to 16—and a super-surprize gift from Gloria. Super-Dream scores again!!
JULIE ANN has been in a daze over Davy Jones ever since he made his first appearance with the Monkees. JULIE ANN wrote that if dreams really came true in Dreamsville, why hadn’t she had any luck?? Patience pays, JULIE ANN—dashing Davy sent you one of his wildest Nehru-shirts, a personal note to prove it really came from him, a personally autographed picture and a complete set of Monkee LPs!! (See—dreams really do come true in Dreamsville. Just ask JULIE ANN!!)
When LEONARD NIMOY heard that AMY thought he was… “the most beautiful, sexy, loveable, romantic, distinguished and intelligent person in the whole wide world”—he went all out to make sure that her Dreamsville trip would be a memorable one! Leonard sent AMY a personally autographed picture, a bottle of his favorite perfume, a copy of his Dot LP The Way I Feel and a mod wristwatch, so that she’ll never miss Star Trek! (That ought to put a permanent smile on your pretty puss, AMY!! Dreamsville does it again!)
GAIL was at her wit’s end and said that this was her seventh try at getting into Dreamsville! Well, seven is your lucky number, GAIL—Cos you’re in!! Paul McCartney personally autographed a large picture of himself, picked out a book of his favorite poems (and autographed it too!), sent along a personally autographed copy of Hey Jude and added a portable radio, so that you’ll never miss the latest Beatle hits! (Hope these gifts tickle your heartstrings, GAIL—Dreamsville doesn’t let you down!)
This was ADELLE’s tenth try at Dreamsville, asking for a “little something” from Robert Wagner. Robert never does anything in a “little” way—so he really shot the works. Robert personally autographed several groovy pictures of himself, picked out a fantastic medallion to remember him by, selected a surprise gift that might just snap ADELLE’s mind, and added a full year’s free subscription to swingin’ 16 Magazine. Dreamsville will go anywhere, do anything and even try the impossible to make your dreams come true!!
