Yes, it’s true: PHIL VOLK and former Action singer TINA MASON are married and have been for quite some time. They have a son named CHRISTIAN, and it looks like the stork will be flying their way again soon . . . Yes, it’s also true (for those few of you who have missed out on the news) that MICKY DOLENZ and SAMANTHA JUSTE did marry on July 12 . . . Also, for those of you who missed the news, Hermit DEREK LEKENBY married his sweetheart LEONIE ROSENBLOOM on July 2 in Manchester . . . And finally, BOB MIRANDA, lead singer of the Happenings, married his steady ELYSE NACH in Passaic, N.J., in mid-August . . . What TV star hosts are putting down one of their semi-regulars all over Hollywood for “made up” reasons? And why are they doing it?? Because that semi-regular is so cute, so sweet, so talented, and so natural that he is drawing all of the fan mail. That’s why! . . . Going to the horse races may become the next “in” thing to do. Latest racing fanatics are Little LUCIE and DESI ARNAZ, and JOHN KARLEN of Dark Shadows. Speaking of DS, JONATHAN FRID drew a crowd of 25,000 cheering fans at a recent public appearance he made in Augusta, Ga.!!

PETER TORK’S steady girl is called “REN”, but her real name is REINE—and she’s a direct descendant of Mary Queen of Scots! . . . If you don’t get to see Hair, at least buy the album and put yourself further along the road to liberation. Stand-out duet in the show is What A Piece Of Work Is Man sung by WALTER HARRIS and RONALD DYSON. Hair producer MICHAEL BUTLER also produced You Are What You Eat, featuring PETER, PAUL & MARY, TINY TIM, etc. MICHAEL is also working on a new TV series called Turn On, which will help to introduce new musical talent and concepts to the public . . . And, speaking of TV series, didja know that NBC screened and rejected a pilot called The Hardy Boys, co-starring RICHARD GATES and none other than TIM MATTHIESON (of Yours Mine And Ours fame)?! . . . Good news for all you SMOTHERS-BROS-luvvers. Not only is PAT PAULSEN back again this season, but beautiful JOHN HARTFORD is now a regular. You can see them all every Sunday at 9 P.M. on CBS-TV, and you can write to them all at CBS-TV, Hollywood, Calif. . . . It’s finally beginning to happen for supertalented singer-composer BUZZ LINHART. By the time you read this, he will have played (along with MITCH RYDER) the Royal Palace in Portugal, have done a tour of England, and starred for two weeks at Revolution, the BEATLES’ new disco in London.
