Dear TIGER BEAT Readers,
Rather than take you along on the set this month—the Monkees are doing their movie in different locations each week—I thought it would be fun to take you outside the set too. Next month we’re planning a big Monkee Movie Issue of Tiger Beat, so I’ll save all my scoops for that.
Besides working on the set the guys have to come and go on the Screen Gems lot. Micky still travels in his maroon GTO with the smoked windows, Peter gets around in his MGB sports car, Mike drives his Mini-cooper most often and Davy zips about in his Honda car. Sometimes, though, when it’s a groovy warm Southern California morning and the boys are ready to head for the studio, they often come by motorcycle. Though it’s never planned, it’s not unusual to see maybe three of them show up on cycles on the same day. They just seem to be struck by the same mood on the same day.
So, if you’re at or around Screen Gems this summer and you just happen to be Monkee hunting… try and spot the Monkees before they make it inside the gate. Good luck!
Love, Ann
