Hi!

As this is “turn-over-a-new-leaf” time I’ve decided to start off the New Year with three important “Monkees Monthly” resolutions.

First of all I’m going to ‘phone one of the Monkees each month and tape record what they say so that I can publish it in the magazine, which will mean you will get the very latest straight from the boys, every month. First on my list is Micky —his phone call is in this issue.

Secondly, I’m going to make sure that every photo that goes in the mag is the best possible—although many of you have said that you think the pics we have published so far have been the best they have seen anywhere.

And thirdly, by keeping in close touch with the boys in Hollywood I’m going to make sure that you get the best possible information on what the Monkees are doing now and in the future.

It’s competition time again, so get your thinking caps on, turn to page 23 and try to win one of the big money prizes.

Isn’t it great the way the boys’ latest L.P. “Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.” has zoomed right up to the top of the American charts? It’s a real knockout and I can’t see why it shouldn’t do the same over here—anyway it’s up to us to make sure it does isn’t it? As it was released just before Christmas I’m sure lots of you have either given it, or received it, as a present.

I mustn’t go without telling Davy how great it is to see him home again and could he please bring Micky, Mike and Peter back with him when he comes next time.
