Micky does some wild things and playing robot had everyone laughing for hours.
It began like any other recording session—most of the Monkees were a little late. Micky came first on his motorcycle in complete head gear. As a joke, he pretented [sic] he was stiff and walked around looking like a robot.
Someone said, “I bet you can’t do that all night.” That’s all Micky had to hear—a dare—he can’t resist a date. So, for four hours and 23 minutes Micky was a mechanical robot and talked like a programmed machine.
He’s the greatest!

Info Micky and Peter take a wild elevator ride at the RCA recording studios. Since Mike and Davy were late, the Robot and his friend went upstairs to watch their favorite show “The Monkees.” 
Info Monkee producer Chip Douglas got a big laugh out of Micky’s act. Micky played stiff all the time except while he played his drums. That boy just can’t resist a dare!
