More of My Life in Pix (Part 3)

Micky skips along through his boyhood from Easter to Hallowe’en to Christmas to CIRCUS BOY. Let’s join him!

Info Hi! Here I am again. Sorry I missed the last few issues, but as you know I’ve been pretty busy. Well, what are all you Dolenz-diggers waiting for? Come on along!
  • Coco Dolenz, Micky Dolenz
Info Hallowe’en was my favorite holiday. I always loved to dress up. My folks took pictures of my outfits almost every year. This one was taken in 1952. I won third prize at school for my scarecrow outfit. I don’t think I scared “Coke” much, though!

Info Here’s another Hallowe’en picture of me. This was taken when I was eight years old, and I made this whole costume myself. (Well, Mom helped me just a little bit.) I won first prize for this one at the Eunice Night Saunders School annual costume contest!

Info Here I am at seven years of age with my sister, Coco. My dad took this picture of us on Easter Sunday. As you can see, the Easter Bunny took pretty good care of us!
  • Coco Dolenz, Micky Dolenz
Info This is not a picture of Frank and Jesse James! It’s just Coco (with long hair) and I (with a crewcut) sitting in our back yard in North Hollywood.
  • Micky Dolenz, Coco Dolenz
Info How’s this for a crazy Christmas card? This is the way “Coke” and I looked in the Chritmas [sic] season of 1954. I was nine years old.

Info This is a pretty important picture in my life. This picture interested the producers of Circus Boy in me, and though I had no acting experience they asked me to come for a screen test. Three days later I had the part. Wow, I had never been so excited in my whole life!

See you later! In the meantime you can write to me at P.O. Box 1198, Los Gatos, Calif. 95030.
