Q. Was Davy Jones a best man at somebody’s wedding in a little town in Indiana? If so, when and where?

A. Yes, Davy was the best man at the wedding of Ken Douglas, formerly a Louisville, Kentucky, disc jockey, and Charlotte Brown. The wedding was on Saturday, September 7, 1968, and was held in New Albany, Indiana.

Q. Can you tell me where I can write the Grassroots?

A. Write the group at this address:

The Grassroots Appreciation Society
9465 Wilshire Blvd.
Suite 520
Beverly Hills, California 90212

Q. I’ve read in several other magazines that Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees is married. Is it true?

A. Sort of. Barry was married but divorce proceedings were begun just as the group started to be successful. He plans to marry another girl as soon as his divorce is final.

Q. In a recent edition you printed a story on Dino, Desi and Billy. On the section about Dino there are two pictures of him. In both photographs, he’s wearing a wedding band on his left hand. Is he married?

A. No, Dino is single. He just had on a ring that looked like a wedding band because he’s still a handsome and eligible bachelor.

Q. Is Mark Lindsay quitting the Raiders and getting married like Charlie Coe did?

A. No, Mark is not quitting the Raiders or getting married.

Q. I was just wondering; has anyone every wondered what Sajid’s middle name is? Does any one out there know?

A. Sajid has no middle name. His full name is Sajid Khan.

Q. I am writing to ask a favor of you. I want to know if it’s true that Dino, Desi and Billy are breaking up?

A. No, it’s not true. They haven’t toured quite so much this fall because Desi was working on “Here’s Lucy,” but they’ll be playing dates over Easter and Summer vacations.

Q. I read that Michael Vincent’s real name is Jan. Could you, since I’m so confused, tell me which it is, Mike or Jan.

A. Michael is his stage name. His full real name is Jan Michael Vincent. Close friends call him Jan, although professionally he’s known as Michael Vincent.

Q. I recently read a rumor (not in Tiger Beat) that Desi Arnaz is steadily dating a girl named Sue B-------. Please clear this up. Is it true or false?

A. False. Desi is not steadily dating any one girl.

Q. I saw Donovan on The Smothers Brothers Show recently and I thought he was groovy. Can you tell me when his birthday is?

A. Donovan is an Aquarian, born February 10th.

Q. I was reading the Tiger Beat Life-lines on Michael Cole and it said on Personal Ambition: “To someday have the love of my family.” Maybe I’m dumb, but it doesn’t make sense, so could you explain.

A. At first, we didn’t completely understand it either, so don’t worry about being dumb. What Michael meant when he wrote that is that he hopes to one day have a wife and children who loves him as much as he loves them.

Q. I would like to know whatever you can tell me about Jack Wild. I saw him in “Oliver” and I thought he was very cute!!

A. We think Jack is a doll, too. To tell you a little about him, he’s 15 years old and he lives with his parents in a small town outside London just a few miles from where “Oliver” was actually filmed. His father works in a tire factory and his mother works in a small butcher shop. Jack’s hobbies consist of playing football, collecting stamps, swimming, and practicing on the drums. You can write to Jack and the other stars of “Oliver” c/o Columbia Pictures, Hollywood, California.

Q. I have a question for Charlie Coe: Are you married or happy?

A. We’ll answer your question for Charlie: he’s married AND happy.

Q. I’ve been wondering about the pronunciation of Sajid Khan’s name. Can you help.

A. We’d be glad to. You pronounce his first name just as it looks. Although some people have mispronounced the j as an h, it is pronounced as if it were a hard j, as in jelly. His last name is pronounced with a hard k and sounds like con, the prefix to words like concert. Hope this helps.

Q. I think Peggy Lipton of “Mod Squad” is a living doll. Does she have a fan club?

A. Yes. For information write to the Peggy Lipton National Fan Club, 434 Clover Road, Bellmaur, New Jersey 08030.

Q. I read in your article “10 Things You Never Knew About Davy Jones” that his favorite drink was made with orange juice, sugar and ice cubes. Would you tell me if he melts the ice-cubes for his orange juice drink and then mixes it up with the mixer? I tried it and just mixed whole ice-cubes and broke the electric mixer. The drink cost me $10.00 to get the mixer fixed but the drink was fantastically good anyway. Thanks Davy!

A. You do use about three or four whole ice-cubes in Davy’s drink, but you must use an electric blender that chops ice.
