Letter from the Editor

Hi there!

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. Did you go to many parties? I went to a couple of real ravers. Lots of Monkee fans were there and we all cheered whenever one of the boys’ previous hits was played. I think that ‘I’m a Believer’ is still the fave tune of lots of people. And all of them have got perfect taste, don’t you think!

The start of a New Year is always an exciting time, isn’t it? With everyone thinking about what they are going to do during the coming months, who they’re going to meet, where they are going on holiday, and everything.

Davy, Micky, Mike and Peter are full of plans for 1969 and I am sure that every Monkee fan hopes that they will get a chance to carry them all out. But, I have to tell you that it is now definite that the TV Spectacular, which the boys recorded at the end of November may well be Peter’s last appearance as a Monkee. It’s very sad but Peter feels that he wants to get back to playing his earlier type music once again.

The Monkees are always very interested to hear what their British fans are thinking and saying so, in this first issue of the New Year, I thought it would be a good idea to answer as many of the questions I have read in your letters as possible. I am sure you will realise that although I have only put one person’s name down for each question, many other people have in fact asked similar things as well.

See you next month.
