MONKEE NEWS FLASHES… Davy, Peter, Micky, and Mike WILL be back on TV next season. They’ll do three one-hour specials to be slotted at various times during the season. One is tentatively scheduled for around Christmas time. The regular half-hour Monkee show will continue in its regular Monday night time spot until early September. But look for the re-runs to be seen on Saturday mornings at various cities in the country.
The Monkee movie is finished and will be shown in leading cities all across the United States late in the summer. It’s a wild, swinging film filled with sight gags: The Monkees get involved with Indians, cowboys, teenage movie stars (played by Annette), fighters, crooks, and every other goofy combination of things. Don’t miss it!
In their personal lives, Peter is looking for a bigger house. He likes to entertain more friends at a time. Micky is building a swimming pool in his backyard and behind this he’s putting up tree houses; Davy’s cleaning out his garage in anticipation of a new pool table that’s on its way from England; Mike is still making changes in his groovy new home, mainly within his outasite recording studios.
