The Monkees Down on the Farm

  • Davy Jones, Mike Nesmith
Info Looks like Davy and Mike are talking about the farms they’ve known! England’s full of farms; although Davy was born in the city, he spent most of his happy hours in the wide open spaces riding horses. Mike’s Texas has ranches and farms, and even Peter’s Connecticut has lots of farms. Micky gets his agriculture in, too, by reminding us that some of the most famous spreads in the country aren’t far from his San Fernando Valley home! As a matter of fact, most of the cowboy movies are filmed less than an hour from Micky’s Bar-D home!
  • Mike Nesmith, Judd Weskitt (Lou Antonio), Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones
Info Holy Haystack, The Monkees are groovy farmers! Dressed to plow, Mike and Micky look like they could clear a meadow of hay quicker than you could say, “Would you believe I’m a city slicker?”
  • Mike Nesmith
Info Looks like Mike’s blowing his own horn! But he’s just a one-man brass band!
  • Mike Nesmith
Info “Ready for the square dance, folks? A one-and-a two… That’s really square!” Mike’s having fun with his hoe-down put-on!
