I Visit with The Monkees (Part 14)

Dear TiGER BEAT Readers,

Excitement was running high this month on the Monkee set, because the boys were starting to think about their tour of Hawaii, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, which is scheduled for early spring.

To prepare himself, Peter began taking lessons in Japanese last November. Whenever he has some free moments on the set, he has a tutor who teaches him the language. He’s getting to speak it so well, it’s really a gas!

Everyone was happy anticipating a wonderful Christmas spent with their family and friends. Davy was making plans for his journey home to be with his father and sisters for the holidays. All the Monkees were knocked out by the very beautiful and thoughtful gifts from all their fans.

They asked me to say a big “thank you” from all of them to each of you and wish you the happiest Christmas ever!

Love, Ann

  • Davy Jones
Info [Above], Davy is looking over some newly-written lyrics.
  • Micky Dolenz
Info Micky looks great in almost any costume he wears. For this scene, Micky was playing the hero and Peter was his sidekick, Tonto.
  • Peter Tork, Ann Moses
Info Peter is a beautiful person and a great thinker. Here he is explaining his new philosophy to me which you can read about in this issue. It’s very, very important to Peter to have his views on everything reported accurately.
