Phone Call from Davy

Wouldn’t you be surprised if you picked up your phone one day and a groovy voice at the other end said, “This is David Jones speaking”?

Whenever he gets the chance, Davy calls his fans. He enjoys doing this because it gives him a chance to thank everyone for all they’ve done for him.

On tour last summer, Davy must have called hundreds of girls to thank them for gifts or letters or some other kindness they’ve shown him. He receives thousands of presents, but when one especially pleases him, Davy always takes the time to call the girl who gave it to him, if she’s enclosed her telephone number.

Davy answers as many questions as he can for fans when they speak over the phone. Though he’d very much like to, Davy can’t accept incoming calls because hundreds are placed to him every day. So don’t call him… he’ll call you.

Info Fan: “How often do you get a chance to date girls?”
Davy: “Not very often. When we’re on tour, it’s almost impossible because of the schedule, and then, too, I like to see my old friends in each town. When we’re in Hollywood, I probably have two or three dates a month. The rest of the time, my dates are casual or on the spur of the moment.”

Info Fan: “Who picks out your groovy clothes?”
Davy: “I do. Wherever we go, I enjoy buying things at the local stores. I think this gives your wardrobe a real interesting appearance.”

Info Fan: “Do you like your new short haircut?”
Davy: “Yes, very much. I may even trim it a little more next season.”
