Dear TIGER BEAT Readers,
These guys are the grooviest group—on stage, when they meet fans, on the plane, everywhere! In each town they meet many of their fans who are specially invited. Then, if they get a chance to go out, like they did in New York, they are glad to greet each fan along the way.
I got to see a new side to the Monkees this month. I have seen them slave away on the Monkee set to finish a show, but until now I have never seen them pour their hearts into their work as much as they have on this tour. If you saw their show, you know what I mean.
There is a complete tour report at the beginning of this issue, but I’ve picked out these pictures as some of my favorites. Hope you like them…

Info Brushing his teeth is what Davy was doing when I called him in Paris. He told me to call so he could fill me in on all the exciting things that were happening. He sounded so excited about the whole thing! 
Info Micky’s Indian gear is so groovy, he really blew everyone’s minds in Paris. They had never seen clothes like the Monkees wore. They had a ball filming there for three days. 
Info In New York, Davy signed some autographs for some fans he ran into as he took a walk. Would you believe there was no fan scene in Paris? The show hasn’t started there on TV yet.

Info Micky’s new hair style is really wild! His hair has always been curly and he would straighten it, but now that curly hair is the style he lets it go wild. 
Info Davy the showman was never better than at his shows in New York. I flew in to catch up on all the news and found the Monkees in the greatest spirits ever! 
Info Fans were surrounding the hotel in New York the whole time the Monkees were there. Davy was shooting pictures constantly and he promised he’d let me see them as soon as he got home. Maybe we can print some!

Info The rumors about Micky and Sammy being married just are not true! They told me so when I saw them. However, Samantha has been along for the whole tour.
