The Hidden Side of Micky and Mike

Mike Nesmith, Micky Dolenz

Every fan knows that Micky and Mike are outasite as musicians and comics. What you may not suspect is that these two Monkees also have the talent to become really great actors in motion pictures and perhaps the theater.

Recently, fave asked scientists in the fields of graphology (graf. ol’ o.ji—the science of learning personality by studying a person’s handwriting samples) and astrology (as.trol o.ji—the science of learning personality by studying the position of the stars and planets at the time of a person’s birth) to look at the Monkees. These are the surprising facts they found about Micky and Mike.

Mike Nesmith

Mike’s wide, wide margins all around the writing prove his artistic nature and fine sense of proportion. His “e”s are larger than other small letters, which means that he is a smart dresser who always has good taste. This good taste reaches out toward many things: art, acting, dressing, thinking. Combining his talents and stick-to-it qualities, Mike can succeed in anything he really puts his mind and energy to. He could be a top actor, musician or artist. (In his chart the astrologer found very strong evidence of his artistic interest in books, theater and music. The stars foretell that he can become as great a composer or lyric writer as he is a performer).

The handwriting expert says that Mike’s large, clear, easy-to-read writing shows he has dramatic ability. His proud, healthy capital letters mean that he’s not afraid to stand up in a crowd and express himself, his real thoughts and feelings. He has an outgoing nature and genuine acting talent that could be developed into one of the greatest!

The changeability of Mike’s slant—sometimes to the right and sometimes to the left—prove that he can adapt himself to different moods and roles. Just as he has a fine sense of comedy, he can also be serious. His strong end-strokes (especially in his signature) indicate determination to succeed. In writing certain letters, he gives them little hooks, which means he doesn’t give up easily.

Micky Dolenz

It seems that Micky, too, is following his fate, as found in the scientific study. As a small boy at home, he was always the child who started the family entertainment. Coco has already told about how he would organize skits and plan whole episodes, using music and costumes—even lines and music. He did the coaching, producing and directing—everything.

Then as he grew older and won the part in “Circus Boy” on television, he simply got to be more professional as an actor. His part on the Monkee show gives him a chance to grow more as a performer, and musically.

The astrologer says that Micky was born under the actor’s sign. He is like a sponge absorbing and expressing the thoughts and feelings of others. He wants to make the whole world happy, to laugh and feel good. He just can’t help being dramatic in everything and often finds it hard to tell the difference between reality and make-believe.

Micky Dolenz

Micky has a curious mind and learns quickly and easily. Moreover, he has an excellent memory and great gift for memorizing material, all of which help him as an actor.

His sense of humor is outasite and quick as lightning. On the other hand, he may plunge into deep moods. Both extremes of being up and being down are the mark of a true actor, and Micky has supercharged emotions that are most valuable to a serious actor.

Micky has many other abilities in the scientific and mechanical fields, and could make just about any success he wishes—even become a doctor.

The Monkees have many talents, as fans well know. These are simply some of their hidden talents which had not been brought to light by scientific studies until now.
