I really dig the Monkees, just like every other bird in the country. I love Davy and my girlfriend is ape over Micky. Naturally we think that each of our faves is the grooviest looking Monkee, so we’re constantly arguing. I think Davy has the best set of teeth, and the cutest smile, but she thinks Micky does.
Peter has a lovable smile, and Mike—well we don’t know! He’s never shown us his BIG OLD STOMPIN’ SMILE, if he has one! Would you please print a picture of Mike grinning so we might see his teeth?

I simply loved your MONKEE SPECTACULAR #1, and I can’t wait until MONKEE SPECTACULAR #2 comes out!
The real purpose of this letter is to tell you that I tried one of the Monkee recipes from the magazine. I tried Davy’s Steak one night. My mother said I had to cook dinner, so I made his steak recipe and my family loved it!

I had my MONKEE SPECTACULAR on my desk at school and my student teacher caught me reading it. He looked at the book and told me he knew Micky Dolenz. I almost screamed, but I controlled myself!
I don’t know if the teacher was putting me on. I hope not!

Monkee movie Permalink
Like thousands of other girls, I would like very much to have the Monkees make a movie. We all enjoy their antics on their TV show, (not to mention some of their records) and I’m sure everyone would like to be able to watch them for a longer period of time. These boys are so talented they can do everything.
I think we should make up a petition and send it to a movie studio, telling them to make a movie with the Monkees. I took a petition around my school to keep their show on TV and I got over 2,000 signatures. Everyone in school, teachers and principals included (he’s hip!) signed it. I’m sure they’d sign another one. What do you think, Monkee fans?

We just crave the Monkees, but we don’t especially dig Davy Jones’ hair! Really, it does look childish! When their show first started we just died when we saw Davy! He was real swingin’ looking. But it’s a disgrace how he lets that hair get longer every week!
