Fame’s Nia Peeples is the number one young female celebrity on the entertainment scene today, according to TB readers. We were surprised by that, but not half as surprised to find that Melissa Gilbert is number two! Here are the top five winners, in order of popularity:

Beauty was the most frequently mentioned reason for picking a favorite, but many fans also talked about individuality and personality. Susan Thompson of Bensalem, PA, chose Nancy McKeon because she says, “she plays a teenager with everyday problems like me which helps me solve them.’ Kelly Knapp of Villa Hills, KY, chose Molly because she says, “Molly is not an ordinary teenager”; she encourages teens to “just be yourself.” And, Kim Day of Smyrna, NY, chose Melissa because “she proves that while a pretty face is fine, a nice-looking girl with talent, intelligence, and a great personality is even better.” Kim says Melissa is “a super example to the young women of today!”
