“Hey, hey, we’re the Monkees—and we really like to monkey around! In other words, we Monkees are always up to some sort of mischief. But we must admit, we’ve never been quite as wild—or had as much fun—as the day we teamed up with Mark, Paul and the Raiders (five other kooky cats) in their ABC-TV show Happening! In case you missed that show, come along now and we’ll all tell you just what went on—”
MICKY: “It all started when we decided to have a jam session—combining the musical talents of the Raiders and the Monkees!”
MARK: “No, folks, this is not a new dance step—Davy just got a little (?) carried away! I mean, he really got into the music!”
MICKY: “But all’s well that ends well—or so they say! And at least the guitar (and Davy) wound up in one piece!”
MARK: “Then, out of nowhere, this monster—who looked like something from Planet Of The Apes —appeared!”
PAUL: “Hold it a minute, fellas! What do you mean monster from nowhere? It’s your trusty (and sometimes nutty) leader—Uncle Paul!”
JOE: “We finally recovered from all that horsing around and had decided to be dead serious—when all of a sudden, we noticed that Davy had disappeared!! ”
DAVY: “Fear not, oh, faithful friends have returned! I just turned in my Honda for a new set of mini-wheels!”
MARK: “We then decided to try that jam-session idea again. Davy promised to stay cool—if we gave him a banana (?)!”,
FREDDY: “That worked out for a while—well, a short while—then our very own Keith Allison decided to act up!”
KEITH: “Well, somebody had to finish Davy’s banana! You know how it is—Monkee see, Monkee do —or should I say—Raider see, Raider do? ”
ALL: “Here we are for the grand finale. It was fun joining forces, and we had a lot of laughs. We’ll have to do it again sometime!”
