During the month of October, the Monkees traveled many thousands of miles to perform for their fans in Australia and Japan. Wherever they went, they were greeted with overwhelming enthusiasm. Hundreds of pictures were taken, and upon returning home the Monkees personally picked out the photos of themselves they liked best—and requested that they be published in 16 just for you!

Info This is Peter’s favorite pic and his most unforgettable moment. This little girl outsmarted ten burly security guards and charged through to get to her favs. Just when she reached them, she burst into tears—of happiness, natch! 
Info Davy, the animal lover, was completely taken by this beautiful, golden-colored mare at the Lone Pine Animal Sanctuary in Brisbane, Australia. As if that weren’t enough—he also had his heart captured by this baby koala bear. No! Davy couldn’t bring them home—Customs’ regulations, you know!

Info Madman Micky’s fav shots were these two! First, you see him in “the Valley,” a fresh produce shopping area in Brisbane. Next, you catch him doing his stuff on stage before an excited audience in Tokyo.

Info Davy, wearing a custom-made velvet suit and a ruffled shirt, sings over the screams in a packed arena in Osaka, Japan. Although their Japanese fans have seen the Monkees on TV—this was the very first time they had the opportunity to see them in person! 
Info Before their grand finale—the Monkees belt out Daydream Believer. Then, Micky and Samantha split for a vacation in Hawaii, Mike and Phyllis went to L.A., Peter went to New York City to visit friends, and Davy went home to Manchester for a holiday!
