What Is a “Tork”?

Peter Tork

Coffee eyes
Topaz hair
Velvet smile
Mixture of satin and denim.

Made of feather and steel,
Gold and white wings,
Ancient immortal classics
And yet, frolicking children as well.

Aristotle the Wise
A circus clown too
April gentleness
November mysteriousness
A shining candle—
Happiness and peaceful joy itself,
That is a “Tork”.

Note: A Fave salute to Karen Schneider for writing one of the neatest poems yet on Peter Tork. Karen, of Flushing, New York, is only fifteen and she would really like to know if you groove it.
