Micky’s house in the Hollywood hills is the grooviest Swiss chalet you can imagine! So you can guess the excitement when Coco offered to take Fave on an exclusive photo tour! With Coco leading the way for our trusty photographer we peeked into Micky’s cupboards and wardrobe closets, poked through his records, books and technical magazines. We even explored the trees and bushes of the mini-forest that surrounds his hideaway—all the while stepping over and around Micky’s many kits and cats.
Inside Micky’s house, the high ceiling beams and ancient masks hung on the living-room balcony look ancient. It’s as if the time machine were turned back several centuries—until you see Micky’s ultra-modern stereo system, the stacks of albums, and his ultra-modern kitchen equipment! There is a huge fireplace, of course, with big colorful pillows for Micky to flop on when he finishes a long day on the Monkee set. Glowing candles and beads hanging from the chandeliers show Micky’s concern for the love movement. There’s even a lamp with a “lampshade” he made entirely of wire love and peace symbols.

Info This is Micky’s fave Indian poncho—Isn’t it wild? Look closely in his closet—it’s his old Circus Boy hat! 
Info Micky made ‘lampshade’ entirely out of wire peace and love symbols. This is where he plops to groove fireplace. 
Info Enough of that now! I’d better start cleaning up his room. Guess I’ll begin by making his bed while you take a look at the super-groovy photos my camera-bug brother took on the tour. 
Info Micky’s back yard jungle is his fave spot to walk and think. He wants to put a treehouse in the tallest tree!

Info Here’s where Micky does his malt and chili chomping. His super-fab kitchen combines old fashioned-type furniture with all the modern appliances. 
Info Think I’ll surprise Micky by drilling a few bolts into the gyrocopter he’s building. Gyrocopter!? Micky’s always fixing things, like putting in a recording studio and photo lab. When his gyro is completed, Micky can soar 500 feet high! 
Info Here we are in Micky’s room. It’s got shelves full of books and all kinds of stuffed creatures. The “Monkee” getting into my singing act is kind of special—I wonder why? I always have a super groovy time at Micky’s. Hope you did!
