Marsha Beaugez is completing her reign in a burst of glory as 50,000 girls in North America compete for the honor of becoming her successor.
Contests were held in 65 cities and all of the winners will be presented in the October issue of 16 Magazine, on sale August 22.
The local winners were crowned in high school auditoriums, at county fairs, in stadiums and—in Wichita, Kansas—as a prelude to the Monkees’ concert before 10,000 people.
