Must get home to that T.V.,
Riding horses down the lane,
Then it starts to pour with rain,
MONKEES, MONKEES, help me do,
Must get home to look at you,
Horses bolt, don’t like the weather
Got to round them—altogether,
Never get home in time now,
Must see MONKEES. GOSH! OH HOW?
Horses really going fast,
Come to farmyard scene at last,
Turn the horses out to graze,
Head all dizzy, in a daze
For when I walk into the hall,
MONKEES PLASTERED on the wall
Go sit down to view T.V.,
Then in comes mum with cuppa tea,
TIME HAS COME, turn on that telly,
Heart is throbbing, legs like jelly,
Theme tune going through my brain,
Now I’ve really gone insane,
For here, before my very eyes,
Turning BLUE my dull grey skies,
Peter, Micky, Mick [sic], and Davy,
MAN! they all make me go crazy,
I love to watch the MONKEES four,
Now I’m falling on the floor
ALAS! half an hour has gone by,
And now I have a real good cry,
Got to wait another week,
To hear the fab four sing and speak.
