The Raiders like The Monkees.

“The Monkees are beautiful,” Harpo told us. “Unfortunately I only know two of them.”
“I know Davy and Micky,” Smitty reported. “Both are really nice and talented. They keep getting better and doing other things and proving that they really do have talent. They’re likeable fun-loving people.” Fang gave us a very complicated math equation as his answer:

7 = x + y
“I really don’t know what that means,” he said after he put it down on paper, “so I can’t say about The Monkees.”
For the final Raiders–Monkees word, let’s hear from the leader, Paul, who, as always, has something to say: “As a group, they are lucky to have ‘happened’—To have been four individuals picked for a show. But they must have more than luck to make it successful. They could have taken four ‘anyones’ and it could not have been good. I’ve never met The Monkees, but The Raiders are impressed by them.”
