Dear TiGER BEAT Readers,
Number one news this month is that the Monkees began production of their full-length color motion picture at the beginning of February. Secrecy seems to surround their first and yet untitled film, but when I talked to the boys on the set I was able to find out that part of the story line will be about the Monkees traveling across the United States on motorcycles. This should be a ball for Davy, Micky and Mike who are crazy about bikes off the set!
The adventure-comedy won’t stop there, though. While Davy, Micky, Peter and Mike are in Japan for their live concerts in March, they will film some color inserts for the movie! The film probably won’t be released until late summer, but you can be sure it will be worth waiting for!
Until that time comes we can all enjoy their great weekly series that seems to get funnier and funnier. Let’s hope their movie tops everything they’ve ever done!

Info When Peter directed the Monkee show entitled “Monkees Mind Their Manor,” he would often take a look at the set from the camera’s view. It was funny seeing him direct the scene and then jump in front of the cameras to be in the shot with the other Monkees! 
Info The Monkees had a lot more freedom this year in that for many of the shows they wore clothes from their personal wardrobes and beads that were gifts from the fans. Mike wore his wool hat less this year, but often enough so it wasn’t missed. They all dress super-cool, I think.
